Wilktronics and Armilis Successfully Deploy Remote Flood Pump Monitoring System
hiasso, Switzerland – January 2025 – Wilktronics, in collaboration with Armilis, has successfully completed the commissioning of their first joint project: a remote monitoring system for flood draining pumps. This innovative solution leverages Industrial Shields PLCs to provide real-time status updates and critical alerts for remote buildings.
The project addressed the challenge of effectively monitoring and managing flood draining pumps in geographically dispersed locations. By implementing Industrial Shields PLCs, Wilktronics and Armilis have enabled continuous monitoring of pump operation, transmitting vital data to a cloud-based platform.
Key features of the system include:
Real-time Status Monitoring: The PLCs continuously monitor the operational status of the flood draining pumps, providing up-to-the-minute data.
Cloud Connectivity: Data is transmitted to a secure cloud platform, enabling remote access and analysis.
Automated Alert System: In the event of an anomalous triggered situation, such as pump failure or unexpected water levels, the system automatically sends push notification warnings to designated smartphones.
Communication Failure Alert: The system also triggers an alarm if communication with the remote devices is interrupted, ensuring continuous oversight.
emote Building Application: The system is designed to monitor pumps in remote buildings where regular physical inspection is difficult.
“This successful commissioning marks a significant milestone in our partnership with Armilis,” stated Adriano Salvadore, Wilktronics CTO. ” By combining our expertise in industrial automation with Armilis’s cloud and communication capabilities, we have created a robust and user-friendly monitoring system.” Ludovico Binda, Armilis CEO, also said,”This project demonstrates the power of IoT and automation in addressing critical infrastructure challenges.”
The collaboration between Wilktronics and Armilis highlights the companies’ commitment to providing innovative and reliable solutions for remote monitoring and control applications. This project sets the stage for future joint ventures, further leveraging the strengths of both companies to deliver cutting-edge technology to their clients.
